Glowarc ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.

1. Face Data Collection and Use

Glowarc uses your device camera solely to capture a photo for aesthetic analysis. The following explains in full how face data is handled:

• What face data is collected: When you use the scan feature, the App captures a single photograph of your face. No biometric templates, Face ID data, facial landmarks, or raw geometry data are stored. Only the derived numerical scores (e.g., Harmony Score, Symmetry Score, Skin Score) are retained.
• How face data is used: The captured image is sent securely to a third-party AI provider (OpenAI) solely to generate aesthetic analysis scores and personalized recommendations. The image is used exclusively for this one-time analysis and for no other purpose.
• Third-party sharing and storage: The image is transmitted to OpenAI's API over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection for analysis. According to OpenAI's API data usage policy, data is not used for training and is not retained beyond processing. No raw face images are stored on our servers or any third-party servers after analysis is complete.
• Retention: Raw face images are never persisted. They exist only in memory during the API call and are immediately discarded after the analysis result is returned. Only the resulting numerical scores are stored locally on your device and in your account.
• No identification or surveillance: We do not use face data to identify, track, or surveil individuals. The analysis is limited to aesthetic proportions and skin health metrics only.
• User consent: Users explicitly initiate the scan and consent to image processing.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us or through your use of the App:

• Personal Data: Email address (if you create an account), age, and gender (to calibrate AI metrics).
• Analysis Data: Numerical scores generated by the AI (Harmony Score, Skin Score, Symmetry metrics). No raw images are stored.
• Device Data: Mobile device ID, model, manufacturer, and operating system version.
• Usage Data: Information about your interactions with the App, such as features accessed and time spent.

3. Use of Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide and maintain the App's core functionalities.
• Generate and track your aesthetic progress over time.
• Personalize recommendations for skincare and habits.
• Process payments and manage subscriptions.

4. Data Retention and Security

We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. Analysis results (numerical scores only) are stored in an encrypted format on your device. Raw face images are never stored — they are discarded immediately after analysis. You may request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time through the App settings.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We may share your information with third parties that perform services for us or on our behalf, including payment processing (Apple App Store) and email delivery. These third parties are prohibited from using your data for any other purpose.

We use OpenAI's API to process face images for aesthetic analysis. Images are transmitted securely and are not stored or used for training by OpenAI. No other third party receives face data.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it immediately.

7. International Data Transfer

Your information may be transferred to, and maintained on, computers located outside of your state or country where the data protection laws may differ. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date."

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Glowarc mobile application. By using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility and Registration

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Medical Disclaimer (CRITICAL)

GLOWARC IS NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE. The App provides aesthetic analysis and wellness insights based on artificial intelligence. The results, including the "Skin Doctor" analysis or "Longevity" metrics, are for educational and informational purposes only. They do not constitute medical diagnosis, treatment, or advice. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider or dermatologist with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

Glowarc may offer subscription plans ("Premium").

• Payment: Payments will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Management: You can manage and cancel your subscriptions in your App Store Account Settings.
• Refunds: All refunds are handled exclusively by Apple.

4. User Conduct and Content

You are responsible for any content you upload or metrics you share. You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purpose or to upload any content that is offensive, defamatory, or violates the rights of others.

5. Intellectual Property

The App, including its AI algorithms, code, design, and trademarks, are the exclusive property of Glowarc. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal purposes.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Glowarc shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the App. The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE."

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Glowarc harmless from any claims, losses, or damages resulting from your violation of these Terms or your use of the App.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users.
